Annual DOT inspection per 49 CFR 396.17
Full annual inspection of tank trailer per federal requirements. Brakes, lights, structure, coupling, suspension, tires, wheels. Documented with photos.
Tank-specific inspection per 49 CFR 180.407
Tank-specific testing requirements layered on top of the standard DOT inspection. External visual, internal, pressure, lining as required by your inspection schedule.
Vapor recovery system check
Pressure and vacuum testing of vapor recovery system. Required for tanks loading at terminals with vapor recovery requirements. Certification provided.
Follow-up corrections
Defects identified during inspection get quoted and corrected during the same visit when possible. R-stamp work performed under certification. Lighting, brake, and fitting issues resolved in-house.
Terminal-ready documentation
Inspection report and certification documents formatted for terminal compliance audits. Photos. Test results. R-1 forms when applicable. Everything terminals ask for, ready when you ask.

Will the inspection meet terminal compliance requirements?
Yes. Our inspections are performed per federal CFR requirements and documented to standards that terminal compliance auditors recognize. If your specific terminal has additional or non-standard requirements, tell us at scheduling and we'll confirm what's needed.
How long does an inspection take?
Standard annual DOT inspection on a clean tank: 2-3 hours. Combined with tank-specific testing requirements (internal, pressure, lining): half-day to full day. We schedule appropriately for the work.
What if my tank has multiple corrections needed?
We document what's needed, quote it, and complete the work during the same visit when possible. R-stamp work performed under certification. Most corrections (brake adjustments, lighting, fittings) are same-day. Larger work (bulkhead, lining) requires a longer scheduled visit.
