About Post Onsite
Decades on these tanks.
It shows in the work.
Post Onsite is a petroleum transport truck and trailer specialty shop in Knoxville, Tennessee. Several of our technicians have 20 to 30-plus years in the industry, and that experience is the whole difference: R-stamp welding, tank testing (PIVK), and DOT inspections, done by people who have seen it all and document every step.
Our technicians
The experience is the difference.
Tank work is a craft, and craft takes time. The people in our shop have spent careers on petroleum tank trailers. Several of our technicians have 20 to 30-plus years in the industry, with the R-stamp welding, pressure-vessel discipline, and DOT testing experience you only build one tank at a time.
That depth is what fleet managers are really buying. It is the difference between a shop that can patch a tank and a shop that knows why it failed, repairs it to code, and documents it so it holds up at a terminal audit or a DOT roadside check.
We keep the focus narrow on purpose: petroleum transport tanks, specifically. The experience compounds when you do the same specialized work, every day, for years.
What we believe
The principles the shop runs on.
Documentation is the deliverable.
Compliance work isn't done until the paperwork is done. Every R-stamp repair generates an R-1. Every inspection generates a report. Customers leave with the documentation that holds up at terminal audits and DOT inspections.
Honest scope of work.
If we can't repair a tank economically, we tell you. If we find work outside the original quote, we stop and call before doing it. We'd rather lose a job than create compliance problems downstream.
Certification stays active.
R-stamp certification requires active welders, active procedures, and ongoing third-party verification. Our welders carry decades on this work and we do it every week. The certification isn't paperwork, it's an operational commitment.
Specialty focus.
We don't do crude oil tanks. We don't do stainless work. We don't do generic trailer work outside our specialty. The focus is what makes us good at what we do.
Compliance over speed.
Some shops compete on turnaround time. We compete on doing it right the first time. Repaired correctly, documented correctly, tested before delivery.
Long-term relationships.
Most of our fleet customers have been with us for years. We earned that by performing on the hard jobs — the ones where corner-cutting would have created downstream problems.
